Luggage and Vehicle Choice: Which Transfer Car Fits Your Group

Almost everyone counts seats correctly. Fewer people count suitcases, and that is where a transfer goes wrong at the kerb: four passengers, six large cases, and a car that takes two. The fare is per vehicle, so choosing the right one is also the only decision that affects the price. Here is how to get it right.

What each vehicle takes

• Sedan: up to 3 passengers and 2 large bags.
• Premium Van (Mercedes V-Class): up to 6 passengers and 4 large bags.
• 12-seat minibus: up to 12 passengers and 8 large bags.

By "large bag" we mean a full-size checked suitcase. Cabin bags and backpacks usually go on laps or between feet and do not count.

Count your bags before you book

When you book, we ask for the number of passengers and the number of bags. The vehicle is allocated on those two numbers. If you arrive with noticeably more luggage than you told us, the vehicle may simply not have the space, and an extra vehicle would be charged separately. It is much cheaper — and calmer — to book the bigger vehicle in the first place.

Bulky items: tell us in the notes

Some things do not behave like suitcases. Mention these in the notes field when booking so the driver comes prepared:

• Pushchairs and travel cots.
• Wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
• Golf bags — common for Belek.
• Skis, snowboards, surfboards, bicycles.
• Musical instruments in hard cases.

Two examples

A couple with two large cases and cabin bags: a sedan is enough. A family of four with four large cases and a pushchair: that is already five bulky items — book the Premium Van. Two families of four with luggage: the 12-seat minibus, one fare, one car.

Why not just book the biggest?

You can, and for a group it is the right answer. For two people it is simply more than you need. The point of the bag count is not to squeeze you into the smallest car; it is to make sure the one that arrives has room for everything you bring.
