Getting from Antalya Airport to Your Hotel

There are three main ways to get from Antalya Airport to your hotel. All three work; the right one depends on how you plan to spend the holiday.

Private transfer

A driver meets you in the terminal with your name on a sign and drops you at the hotel door. No luggage juggling, no addresses to find, no parking to worry about.

Who it suits: people spending most of the holiday at the hotel and its immediate surroundings. If you are heading to an all-inclusive resort and will take an organised tour once or twice, renting a car adds little. Also, if you land in the middle of the night, take the transfer without thinking twice.

The downside: you are buying two journeys. Every other trip during the holiday means a separate taxi fare or tour price. In Belek, Side or Kemer, well away from the centre, that adds up quickly.

With us the price is fixed when you book and nothing is added on the way; the car is yours alone, not a shared shuttle. Give us your flight number and we track the landing, so your driver is there at whatever hour you arrive, delay or not. There is no prepayment and no card details; you pay the driver at the end of the ride.

Rental car

You collect the car at the airport and keep it for the whole stay.

Who it suits: anyone who wants to see the region. Termessos, Olympos, Side, Köprülü Canyon, the mountain highlands — no hotel shuttle goes to any of them. If you plan three or four separate outings, a rental usually costs less than the same number of private tours. It is easier with children too, since you move on their schedule rather than a tour operator's.

The downside: traffic and parking become your problem. Parking is genuinely hard in narrow-street areas like Kaleiçi. Your hotel car park may be paid, so ask before booking.

Public transport

A tram line (Antray) and an airport bus run into the city. By far the cheapest option.

Who it suits: budget travellers whose hotel is central, in Muratpaşa or at the start of Lara. With light luggage and a daytime arrival it is perfectly sensible.

The downside: nothing runs directly to Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya, so you change in the centre. With three suitcases and two children that change becomes a different experience entirely. Late at night services thin out.

How to choose

• Hotel far from the centre and you are staying put: transfer.
• You want to explore, especially on stays longer than three days: rental car.
• Travelling alone, light luggage, central hotel: public transport.

Combining them works too. Plenty of people take a transfer on arrival and rent a car only for the days they plan to go out.
